Our Team

  • FOUNDER, DOG SITTER, DOG WALKER, & THE QUEEN OF SIDE HUSTLES.

Meet Liz, the dynamic founder of Wags For Walkies, an ardent dog sitter, dedicated dog walker, and the undisputed queen of side hustles.

Liz embarked on her journey in pet care in 2018, starting as a dog walker and sitter on platforms like Rover and Wag! A move back to New Jersey sparked her venture into dog walking, allowing her to rediscover her roots while nurturing her passion for dogs. She has a particular soft spot for pit bulls, championing their cause and challenging the negative stereotypes they often face.

Liz is a proud pet parent to two adorable dogs who regularly steal the spotlight on our social media channels. Her love for animals and dedication to their well-being are palpable in every interaction she has with them.

Born and raised in New Jersey, Liz's life has taken her from South Carolina, Florida, and even Pennsylvania. However, she returned home to New Jersey in 2018 and hasn't looked back since. In October 2020, she resumed her academic journey, working towards her Bachelor's degree in Psychology which she will complete in Fall 2023. She plans to further her education with a PsyD in Clinical Psychology and an MEd in Human Sexuality, underscoring her commitment to continuous learning and personal growth.

When it comes to dog walking, Liz has a few essentials that she swears by:

Harness: She prefers the Freedom Harness, valuing its safety and comfort.

Leash: Retractable leashes can pose safety risks, so she opts for a regular one.

Treats: Always on hand, perhaps even too many!

Poop bags: An essential for responsible dog walking.

A single AirPod: Perfect for catching up on her favorite podcast - Morbid: A True Crime Podcast.

Join Liz at Wags For Walkies, where every walk is an adventure and every pet is family.

Jessica has over ten years of experience working with dogs. Shortly after graduating college, she started volunteering with various local animal rescues and as a canine companion/walker, adoption advocate, and foster mom at a local kill shelter. When she adopted her foster fail, Dahbe, she realized the need for trustworthy and caring pet sitters, so she took it upon herself to start her own pet care business in Staten Island, NY. While working full-time in the legal field, Jessica grew her dog-walking and pet-sitting business. After a change in career in early 2021, Jessica was offered an opportunity she couldn't refuse and made the difficult decision to leave Staten Island to follow her passion - canine rehabilitation. She is now a happy resident of New Jersey and works full-time as a Certified Professional Canine Fitness Trainer and manager at 4 Paws Adrift, a canine water therapy and swim center in Allentown, NJ. Some of her Staten Island furry friends still visit her in NJ, but she also looks forward to meeting new local furry neighbors. You can check out her pet care Facebook page to learn more about Jessica. She prides herself in her ability to help owners feel safe and comfortable with their dogs in her care and is always open to doing whatever is necessary to ensure everyone is safe and happy.

Jessica enjoys hiking and exploring nature in her spare time with her dog, Dahbe, a 10-year-old pit bull mix. Together they have participated in agility, water, and fitness sports/training.training. Jessica is also passionate about canine nutrition and spends a lot of time researching to educate others on what we are feeding our pups. She hopes to get certified as a canine nutritionist as well, eventually. She is very excited to meet all the pets of Bordentown!
